I got email notification through e-mail my AP approval on 4th sep 2009.Not yet received AP document by mail.The processing center is TSC.Anybody in the same situation?

First USCIS stopped giving name check status over phone, now seems like they have stopped giving name check status in infopass as well. Another thing is these people are too rude. I am not sure sure what we are supposed to do, not even ask what is the status?
I had my infopass appointment today, it was not worth wasting the 60 seconds. I go up to the IO, this lady is so rude she would just say my case is pending. I asked about name check she says that cannot be discussed due to security reasons. I called up customer service and could get to the second level that was an IO, who confirmed my name check is pending.
Infopass depends on the IO or you could be in for some sour grapes ....

I am hopeful too since like you my I140 had a LUD on 7/13. I am a Dec 04 EB2 filer and have an Infopass tomorrow to know the 485 status.

Idiot, why are you creating a thread for each company. you could have mentioned Home Depot, Catterpillar and pfizer in the same thread.
Before creating a thread, you should think that you are eating space and band width of a site which is run by a non - profitable organization.

I have created this thread to communicate and track MI chapter activities on creation of eGroups to serve the needs of the MI chapter
1) Data on 10/20 meet has been compiled and documented. Minutes of the Meeting will be provided to the attendees soon through a secure eGroup (files/document section)
2) Work in progress to provide a secure, trusted E-group which provides the best features available to our community. Pilot groups have been created in Yahoo and Google to study the features, ease of use and ease of management (for the mods).
Results so far
Google
---------
Pros :
1) New.
2) Has stacked thread view similar to Gmail.
3) Ease of use (not much functionality to confuse users).
4) Supports HTML pages and also commenting on those pages. Google search available to search the threads.
5) New, hence not blocked in many offices ( esp mine :))
Cons :
1) Buggiest of the three! (I created a 'Restricted' group. None of the links are working)
2) Key features such a Polls, Database missing.
3) Limited management options.
Yahoo
---------
Pros :
1) Stable
2) Lots of management options. Powerful
3) Powerful member features - Polls, Database
Cons:
1) Old/dated
2) Text only ( unless you send E-mails externally)
3) Options could be overwhelming to a new user!
4) Blocked in many offices ( E-mails can still be received. Other features like Polls, Database need to be accessed from home)
Right now, per my experience so far - Yahoo seems the best option. Let me know your ideas.
And once we decide on a platform
1) I need 2-3 days to setup the group to meet groups needs and expectations.
2) MI meet attendees will be sent invitations to join the group.
3) Others who responded to the Meet invitation but couldn't attend will be contacted to check if they wish to join the group
4) MI chapter eGroups successfully launched!

And you're not the only one to tell me to stay here to get my gc. I was also advised to marry a woman just for the gc. The point is that I don't want to do anything illegal.
But I considered all those options. All I want to do right now is to stay with my partner just a little bit longer, I can't imagine putting an ocean between us again. I understand that I'm already in a difficult situation, and I will have a lot of explaining to do in the future when applying for a visa (since as I understand my current one is no longer valid), but I just want to get a ban. That's the only thing I'm afraid of.

You can't write 01/01/1995. In that case your check will be invalidated. Check expires after 180 days. :D :D
But you are correct for RD :)
I did not think of this. Otherwise I would have written the date in all the forms as 01/01/1995 to make the visa number available to me...:D
You may write any day, month and year in the forms. USCIS will have the time stamp when a package was actually received.

When had filed my I140 I did send my coworkers reference letter ...yet i got a rfe requesting for employer's experience letter..
I was in a similar but totally different situation. I wanted to use the experience as a Grad. Assistant for my I-140 stage. The problem was, my professor was no longer with the University. My lawyer suggested that I obtain a letter from the professor on a plain paper and make sure that it is notarized. The letter had his address and cell phone number and "Formerly, Asst. Professor at xxx Iniv".
There was no issue with the I-140 approval.

What do you mean Our Own people?
By initiating the process of Green Card (with the eventual intent of accepting a US citizenship) arent we differentiating ourselves from "them" the people from the other country.
It is the inevitable that all need to accept....we might spent half a decade or more to gain the permanent residence here...only to find that when we get that, the lady-boom is shining over the land whose very credentials we have been planning to shed, so then it will be time for us to line-up with the Indian consulates trying to get PIO card using Premium Processing.... ???

I received Green card approval email from USCIS even though my PD is not current
Last month I had changed my address online and USCIS bymistake updated my I-485 status to approved.
I received the Green Card approval email from USCIS. I checked my status on USCIS.gov it says my case has been approved and card production has been ordered.
The only document I have received from USCIS is for the correct address update notification. The letter states that, they have updated my Address successfully.
I have still not recived any GC as it has been over 3 weeks now. I would like to get back my status which was pending.
What should I do in this case?

Hi Everyone,
I will be laid off from an american company by the end of Feb 2009. I spoke to my previous desi employee as my H1b with his company is still valid and he din't revoked it until now
But he agrees to let me join his company but at the same time he worried about few things
Q1) I was with him for 6 months of 2008 and moved to an American Company so the total pay in the W2 for year 2008 is less than LCA amount.
Would that be a problem as i din't work with him for an entire year in which case it is bound to be less than LCA amount..
Mind you i'm looking at the Yearly wage if you look at month wise it is much higher than mentioned in LCA.
Would that be of any problem to both me and employeer.
Q2) He also said that when somebody re hires any one , the employeer is liable to pay back wages for the period of time he was out.
It sounds illogical atleast to me because he didn't terminate me from the job it was me who quit the job and transferred my H1b on a good note , but there is no official document saying i quit the job or he terminated me ....
I would appreciate if some could throw some light on this ....
My future is relied on these issues

Do not believe on online status. Couple of my frds got their EAD and still online status is " Case Received and Pending". Looks like they are not updating the status on regular basis.
I am one of those as well. My online status shows the regular "case received on so n so" message. I got my EAD about 10 days ago n so is with my spouse.

I am in same situation. My previous employer has informed me that he has already revoked my 140 petition. I sent in the ac21 paperwork to be on safer side and also verified my home address on records in case they send something. You may want to do the same, also, make sure you have your own Attorney and file for G28 promptly.
