this is great, even after working with acrylics for a while, my portraits never got better than this!
blending acrylics = very very hard
I can't seem to resist contests, lol. Anyways... here is my first attempt at a portrait with acrylics. Its 8x10". :)

I am changing my job on H1B. I have I-140 approved with present company. What documents do I need to have to keep my old priority date? I have copy of I-140 approval notice. Do I need to have copy of labor certification as well?

Please note that an I-485 approval invalidates the H-1B visa.
I would travel to the US before Advanced Parole expiry to obtain the GC and return. I am not sure of any exceptions - please post the question in 'Ask a Lawyer' section ASAP.
I second what sbmallik has said. Your records will be at the POE, you cannot come back on H1-B. Come back before AP expires or you might be in trouble.

Hi,
My husband is having L1A visa through company X.
Howmany days/moths/years will it take for us to get GREENCARD if we apply in MAY2008.
I understood no LC is required for L1A visa holders Greencard processing.

I am a physician with subspeciality board certification. I have been in AOS/EAD since July 2008 as a dependent on my wifes EB3 Employment based petition.
Due to current retrogression, I want to explore the EB1 route. The question I have is can I apply for a new EB1/AOS in view of my current status of being in AOS/EAD already.
What impact will it have on my wife if I choose to add her as dependent.

My Priority date becoming current in July 2010 visa bulletin.Can I travel to India in July 2010, while my Priority date is current ,Or I should cancel my program?
Wanted to understand of any factor which can effect/delay my green card approval from all GC guru's if a person is not in US while his/her PD becomes current in that month?
Will appreciate any response or guidance!

Hello,
I spoke to my lawyer today and she made it very clear that it is ILLEGAL to file more than one I-485 for one applicant (from 2 diff companies). USCIS will immediately ask you to make a choice.

Politico reports that he is in favor of a legalization program that will allow "citizen boards" (similar to the draft boards of an earlier era) to determine whether undocumented immigrants deserve to stay in the US. According to CIS ,they will take time upto 26th Oct ,just to issue the receipts. Again they say ,it might not be that longer but what I think we are not going to get the receipts anytime soon. At the same time we need not file another application if we dont hear anything from them till 15th of August,since we have the mail delivary proof that the application was accepted at TSC.
So there is no other alternative but to wait for either a receipt or checks getting cashed...

It looks as though they have updated their page. Previously they were suggesting people apply 180 days in advance.
You are right a month ago it used to say 180 days as I have a print out and now it say's 120 days...since we are dealing with notorious USCIS who are very popular of doing such silent updates and there won't be any track of updated time stamp or date stamp anywhere on this website...(which is another useless page) I guess they do it on purpose and not sure if you remember recently how they changed dates for NSC & TSC for 140 processing dates etc....

Company A would not do H1 extension as B & A belong to the same group. A is the old company & B is the new company. That is how the GC was filed through B.
The H1 petition was filed by employer directly and the RFE is now handed over to an Attorney. This company had RFE’s in the past for their employees & the Attorney replied well and their H1 got approved. The RFE is related to employer except the following two on my self.

I work for a TARP employer and my H1 extension is due on April 30th. I was able to get all the required approvals for the extension last month but immigration firm is not able to file H1 petition as drafted.
They are saying that my orignal H1 was for one legal entity (CORP) and I was working/getting paid by another(BANK NA) (I verified this from orignal H1 petition and W2s). HR and immigration firm are silent on how/why this happened. Now the issue if they do my extension under BANK NA TARP rules will be applied as entities are changing. They are not comfortable doing it for CORP becuase I am not working for it. Just spoke with HR and they are saying that they are looking at the options and what to do next. Not a definate answer will they file and if so under which legal entity?
Can any of the gurus please suggest me what do to? Should I start looking for another job with a consulting company and will even a H1 transfer be possible due to this mess. I am just soo tensed, we are expecting a baby anytime next week and hate this mess.

Mr. karachi wala i have same stiuation , i am currently in us and AP in hand and want to marry there in home country. bring my wife on H-4 and come back to us on AP .
